• Assisted with the initial “local access to the internet”, which now provides services through 450 newspapers throughout the United States;
• Helped the regional Economic Development Offices to attract companies from other states and countries to locate their businesses in Hampton Roads;
• Helped launch a new defense contractor in Suffolk, Virginia that rapidly became a leader in managing video for the Federal Government;
• Helped to form the first pure venture capital fund in Hampton Roads, Virginia;
• Developed the NASA incubator proposal with CIT in 1998 to establish the Hampton Roads Technology Incubator;
• Assisted the formation of the regional Small Business Development Center.
