I trust this email finds you well and enjoying the time as we prepare for Christmas and the celebration of the birth of Jesus. My thoughts are with you for a safe and wonderful season.
Some people are thriving in this economy, but many are not. Thanks to the U.S. Navy, the area in which I reside is almost economy-proof. However, even here, many people are feeling the impact of "the economy" in their businesses and homes. Many people have lost a significant percentage of their retirement funds - and some were ready to retire but now continue working. One colleague has lost 85% of their customers - they have gone out of business. Another has lost a job. Another has had to cut hours for their employees. The local paper mill will be closing and thousands will be losing their jobs. The stories are abundant and I am certain you could add many to this paragraph yourself.
A few years ago, a company called Pre-Paid Legal Services (PPL) came out with a video entitled "Now Is The Time" talking about the uncertainties of the economy, etc., and many people just did not see it at the time - because they were comfortable.
But, now really is the time. In the last few months a very good friend of mine, Mary Glynn Fisher, has been ranked as one of the top recruiters in the company. Mary would tell you that she did received that recognition not because she is so good - but because PPL really does make sense to people - the membership AND the opportunity. As she likes to say, "people recruit themselves when you put them in front of the right information and answer their questions properly." Many people who were not interested before ARE interested today.
Please join me on December 16th, Wednesday, at the Lucky Star at Westin Town Center in Virginia Beach. Mary Glynn Fisher will be speaking about the home-based business opportunities with PPL as well as the family and small business legal plans. There will be three briefings- 8am, 10am and noon.
